Yard Debris Service

Making sure that a property looks its best often takes a lot of effort. Unfortunately, our yards end up as a workshop for many DIY projects and can leave us a mess. When rubbish finds its way onto a yard, it can build up quickly and become overwhelming. Luckily, at All Nix Services, we are experts at removing many different types of debris. If you've got piles for what seems like miles and aren't sure what to do next, contact the professionals at All Nix Services.

At first, it's just a bit of clutter here and there. Slowly it turned into trimming the hedges and pulling out weeds and forgetting to rake. It's easy to get stuck somewhere in the wasteland that stretches out between the excitement of starting an outdoor project and the satisfaction of finishing it, but before long, you may end up with a warning from your HOA or local code enforcement. Not only are piles of debris unsightly, but they provide a safe haven for rats and raccoons. The rodents can even build nests in the piles.

Florida has hurricane season from June 1st to November 30th, but most happen after August 1st. Prior to hurricane season, the debris around your home should be completely removed, and once again if a disturbance appears off of Africa. Florida has more hurricanes reach land than any other state, and if there's loose material in your yard, it can turn into a 100-mile-per-hour missile, potentially causing damage or injury. Storm winds are powerful enough to break off weakened or overgrown branches and leaves don't stand a chance. Hurricanes cost us billions, and if a tree branch gets taken out and hits a neighbor’s house, the person whose insurance is responsible normally depends on the Act of God Clause. This determines the fault based on the health of the tree. Nineteen states' insurance companies even have "hurricane deductibles" due to the recurrence of the freak storms as the cause of damages.

The messes left after hurricanes can be enormous, so it's important to clean up wooden debris efficiently to avoid bacteria-filled standing floodwater, mold growth, rodents, and other small critters from moving in. Termites and Carpenter Ants love the moist wood. Loose branches and leaves should be trimmed, but palm fronds should only be removed when fully brown and not over pruned. Doing it before then is bad for the tree.

Once hurricane season passes, cleaning up the yard in preparation for the coming spring can help propagate healthy growth for your greenery. Once spring arrives, a good cleaning is on most people’s calendar.
